London: Wingate, 1950. VG+/VG. First edition, first printing in d/w not price clipped. PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY BOTH AUTHORS, on front endpaper. Inscription reads, 'For Harry/who helped us so/magnificently to put/these stories over the/air/With love/Marjorie/& Eddy'. Harry is Harry Rogers, who was a BBC producer. Edward 'Eddy' Ward (1905-1993) was a broadcaster, journalist, writer and war correspondent with the BBC. Marjorie Banks (?-1991) was a writer and producer. This book relates their travels in a car specially fitted with recording gear as they journeyed together through Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland and Scandinavia in the aftermath of the Second World War. Spotting to top-edge and fore-edge; d/w has a few short edge tears (longest 8mm); d/w has minor wear and small losses to head and tail and corners of the d/w; else a very good plus copy, in a very good d/w, of a SCARCE first edition, first printing SIGNED BY BOTH AUTHORS.
