Book Roberts' first book, widening his scope as a journalist from magazine articles to this non-fiction account of the state of Europe in the wake of World War I based upon the author's first-hand experience. First (and only) edition, marked B-V on the copyright page (for February 1921) and published in a run of 1,500 copies Size: Octavo (8-9"). 410 pages. Item Type: Book. Text block is tight, bright and unmarked. Many of the pages in the final two-thirds of the book remain uncut. The front hinge was, as usual, cracked, but it has been re-glued. Very Good+ hardcover in olive-colored cloth over boards with bright gilt title and decoration on the front cover. The gilt title is faded on the spine, which is darkened from exposure.
