London: William Tegg and Co., 1850. Leather. Very Good. 9" by 6". Not Stated. The complete three volumes of William Hone's anthological work. Volume I is dated 1850 whereas volumes II and III remain undated. Illustrated throughout, with numerous vignettes across all volumes. William Hone was an English writer, satirist and bookseller. This work has many anecdotes, poems, advertisements and sporting information. In half calf bindings with marbled paper boards. Externally, rubbed to the paper covered boards and to the spines. All volumes have been rebacked with original backstrips laid down and preserved. spines are lightly rubbed with fading to the gilt. Prior owner's notes to the recto of rear endpaper. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Occasional light spots to pages. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
