This work is an informative guide into the art of farriery, alongside information to the health and welfare of horses, with advice on treating various ailments, Illustrated with a frontispiece. Written by Francis Clater. Clater also published 'Every Man His Own Cattle Doctor', at the request of his employers who were farmers. He practised as a chemist, druggist, and cattle doctor, meaning this his medical advice in his works are trustworthy, and well respected at the time.
