An important multidisciplinary collection marking the centenary of of the publication of Darwin's Origin of Species, contributors inc. Louis Leakey, Kroeber, Borde, Magoun, Hilgard, Piggott, Washburn, Hallowell and Braidwood among others, 22 in all. Provides an excelent overview of the state of the topic at the time, just before discovery of Lucy and DNA dating of human-ape divergence. Apaprently uncommon in UK.
