Matriti, Hellenica / Madrid, Spain.: Typographia Hellenica.. Poor. 1911. Hardcover. 24mo - 12.5 x 8.5 cm.; xxxii - 231 - (1) pp. The text is in Latin. Black cloth over thin boards with gilt lettering (quite faded) on the spine and a blind stamped cross on the front board and with a blind stamped IHS device on the back board. The text block edges were once stained red as issued though they are now darkened to a ruddy brown. A quote from Antonio Perez-Romero about this book: "In this book, Oliver conveys the individual's sense of helplessness, the need to be illumined by God, and the belief that God's doing everything for the believer". This particular edition has been edited by P. Benignus Fernandez, a fellow Augustinian, so as to be faithful to the Codex Escurialensis. The casework, the boards and the spine backstrip, are completely detached as one unit form the text block. The text block itself is shaken. The separation is at the end paper hinges which are no more. The pages are browned with age though they are otherwise clean and all pages are present. Known to be a quite uncommon and difficult to find book. .
