This book is written totally in Latin, Editio quarta, cui accessit index verborum et rerum (Fourth edition, to which is added a list of words and facts). Has bookplate (of Arthur Edward Waite of Middlesex) neatly affixed on inside of front cover. Book has slight bowing of boards typical of vellum. Otherwise, boards and pages are clean, unmarked, bright, tightly bound and sharp cornered. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. "Herman Witsius (1636-1708) was a Dutch pastor and theologian who became Professor of Divinity at the University of Franeker in 1675 and then at the University of Utrecht in 1680. In 1698 he went to the University of Leiden, where he died. Witsius made important contributions to both pastoral practice and systematic theology, especially covenant theology." .
