Arnold Henry Savage Landor was an early 20th-century explorer in Central Asia, most notably Tibet and Nepal. After his voyages, Landor published his book "An Explorer's Adventures in Tibet" – an account of his experiences in Tibet. Landor describes his dangerous encounters with bandits, mountain climbs, snow and rainstorms, and river crossings! Note the sketch illustrations made by Landor himself.
