COMPLETE THREE VOLUME SET, published 1835. Hardcover. Bound in half brown leather and brown, orange and black paper. Covers are plain. Spines are lettered in gilt and flat gilt bands. Contents include "The Life of Matthew Henry", notes and indexes. Volume I includes a black and white frontispiece portrait of Matthew Henry, protected by a tissue guard. On a shelf, this set spans almost 10 inches. <br><br>VOLUME I: Genesis through Esther; vii, vii, viii, 1187 pp.<br>VOLUME II: Job through Malachi; xiii, 1520 pp.<br>VOLUME III: Matthew through Revelation; iv, 1417 pp. <br><br>CONDITION: This set is overall VG. Bindings are solid, but boards are heavily rubbed. Pagination appears complete. Volume II, the top right hand joint is separating, but still attached. in Volume III, front inner hinge is cracked, yet board is still firmly attached. Also in Volume III, the spine has separating at page 1404. Page 1405/1406 is loose, but present and laid in. Some worm holing present, yet does not compromise the integrity of the text. Leaves have evenly toned with very little foxing. Completely unmarked except for a previous owner's name dated 1830 in period ink. A nice, solid set. <br><br>As this set is very heavy at over 15 lbs., an additional shipping charge will apply. Full refund if not satisfied.
