Sobre este artículo

Cleveland/New York: The World Syndicate Publishing Co., 1910 Book. Very Good Minus. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Original maroon blindstamped cloth over boards with gilt lettering and decoration. Gilt on spine rubbed. Minor rubbing on edges. Spots on back cover. This edition was part of World's "Mystery Library." Arsene Lupin was the French counterpart of Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes" (Holmes actually appears in one of the stories, but Leblanc was forced to change his name to "Herlock Sholmes" due to pressure from Doyle's lawyer). The stories in the book first appeared in a French magazine in 1905, and were published as a collection in France in 1907. Scarce. 256 pp..

Reseñas

El Dec 5 2019, un lector dijo:
Brian Porcupine is only partially correct. The book was first published in 1907 by Harper & Brothers (US), then by Cassell (UK) as The Seven of Hearts, Together with Other Exploits of Arsène Lupin and then by Ogilive (US) in May 1910 as The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsène Lupin, Gentlemen Burglar. There has never been an edition simply called Arsène Lupin, Gentlemen Burglar. Porcupine is confusing a cover title with the true title, which is that on the title-page. A superb book by any name.

I was disappointed to find that this book is a reissue... It had been published as both Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar and as Exploits of Arsène Lupin. As a consequence I had read it already... be warned
