The British edition published by Collins wasn't published until 1978. 8vo size blue clothbound hardcover with dust jacket; 175 pages From dust jacket: "The affliction that provoked the book was a drastic and permanent impairment of eyesight, from what is called macular degeneration. Using a large drawing pad and Magic Marker, (the author) began this extraordinary chronicle, in part a ruthless self-examination. However, her own plight led quickly to reflections on the common human lot." Eleanor Clark (1913 - 1996) was a National Book Award finalist and the winner of the 1964 award. She was married to author Robert Penn Warren and is the mother of author Rosanna Warren. The author is pictured with her family on a photograph on the back of dust jacket. Light wear, edgewear and discoloration to edges of dust jacket; light foxing to outside pages. . First. Cloth. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
