Sinopsis
Patricia S. Daniels, a freelance writer and editor, has contributed to many books, including the bestselling Almanac of World History and The Encyclopedia of Space for National Geographic. James Reston, Jr. (Foreword) is the author of 13 books, three plays, and numerous articles in national magazines, including The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Time, The New York Times Magazine, Smithsonian, and Esquire. His last four historical books, Galileo: A Life, The Last Apocalypse, Warriors of God, and Dogs of God have been translated into 12 foreign languages and several have been optioned by Hollywood. In 1976-77, Reston was David Frost's Watergate adviser for the famous Frost/Nixon Interviews, seen by 57 million people worldwide. His narrative of that experience, published in 2007 and entitled The Conviction of Richard Nixon: The Untold Story of the Frost/Nixon Interviews, was the main inspiration for the hit London play, "Frost/Nixon," in which Reston is a major character. The Hollywood adaptation of the play, directed by Ron Howard, featured actor Sam Rockwell as Reston. In recent years Reston has lectured widely at the Smithsonian, the Library of Congress (previous scholar in residence), and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC, where he is a senior scholar.
