Monotone illustrated dustwrapper. The bottom corners of the foldovers are rubbed, there is a small tear at the top of the front panel spine gutter, and the top edge of the dustwrapper shows some signs of wear. The edges of the book are darkened through handling. As well as fascinating episodes, the author provides a moving and at times tragic account of the events that split the trio in old age, as love and jealousy and illness turned their story into a real-life Gothic novel.
