Humorous verse.Inscribed by the author on the first blank: "For Kaye Webb who is still kind to me after far too long - Ogden Nash" (with a small bespectacled self-portrait sketch). The recipient was one of the editors at Lilliput magazine where Nash was a regular contributor. She later made her name at Puffin Books where she published some of Nash's books. It is possible that the inscription dates from this later period. On the same page is the ink stamp of Nash's literary agents Curtis Brown.Inner hinges starting. Covers a bit rubbed at the edges. Mark to front cover. Good. No dustwrapper.Bookseller's stamp on first blank. Lacking front free endpaper. Front joint split. Blue cloth, with white paint spot on upper board. Very good otherwise.
