Limitation of 2500 numbered copies signed by Michener and Levin and 16 lettered copies (A - P) and (according to the limitation sheet) "several" copies marked "H.C." This copy is signed by Michener and Levine as issued with facsimile signatures on the inside front board of the clamshell box, but has no letter or number of limitation. An out-of-series copy with four original lithographs signed by Levine and pulled on Rives paper, text handset in Caslon de Corps 24, original woodcuts printed on Arches paper 54 watercolors, gouaches and drawings printed on Ingres paper. Unbound sheets in Japanese-style portfolios with leather ties in silk-lined clamshell box. Very faint offsetting under one tie; otherwise, a Fine copy in the publisher's original shipping carton.. Signed By Author & Artist. First Edition. Fine. Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall. Limited Edition.
