Sobre este artículo
Privately printed for subscribers, Llanbedrog, North Wales., 1910. First edition. Quarto. pp xlviii, 177. The transcribed Welsh text is interleaved with facsimile reproductions of the Peniarth MS.2. List of subscribers at rear. Out of a total edition of 800 numbered copies this is one of 150 on toned linen-made paper and bound in half vellum with cloth sides, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Issued as vol. IX of the Series of Old Welsh Texts. Laid in: editor/publisher's single-leaf prospectus; printed and inscribed card thanking a subscriber and presenting the book.WITH: Poems from the Book of Taliesin. Edited, amended, & translated by J. Gwenogvryn Evans. Privately printed at Tremvan, Llanbedrog, North Wales. 1915. Octavo. pp xviii, 199. Dual-language text. 330 numbered copies, four on vellum and ''a number on thin paper''. The copy is one of the latter. Issued as vol. IXB of the Series of Old Welsh Texts. There is a slight anomaly: according to the limitation statement the quarto volume is one of 150 copies, while the laid-in prospectus describes it as one of 100 copies of the ''Library Edition'' accompanied by the octavo volume. Could it be that Evans used unsold copies of the 1910 edition to issue with the translation and simply called them the Library Edition? Each volume has the small ownership signature of the astrologer Edward Lyndoe (not a subscriber). Both volumes are in fine condition.
