Sobre este artículo
[Hampton, Va: The Hampton School Press, n.d.. Paperback. Good. Ogden. 3 illustrations [5], 6-15, [1]p. [both sides of outer leaves included in our pagination; the illustrations -- printed on one side of unnumbered leaves -- are not included in our pagination]. Softcover booklet. 17 cm. Minor cover soil. Loss of a small bit on paper in upper left corner on front cover. Some spotting on back cover. The third illusstration partly pasted down along inner margin. No separate wrapper present (was there one?). Reprinted from The Youth's Companion (where it had appeared in the Feb. 25, 1892 issue) by permission granted to the Hampton Institute. Online sources indicate that "the Failure of Cunningham," a short story about an academically-limited student who attended Hampton was first reprinted by Hampton Institute in 1898. We date this our copy of this undated Hampton School Press publication as 1898 because of a sentence about Hampton Institute on page 14: "A trade school for the technical training of young men was opened in 1896, and a building for young women and for scientific agriculture is to be opened in 1898." This makes it seem likely that our copy is a first, or at least an early, Hampton printing.
