Hodder and Stoughton, 1940. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. The jacket is shelf rubbed, the spine of the jacket is sun darkened and has a closed tear on either side at the top, one is 1cm and the other is 2cm. The folds of the flaps are fragile from insect damage. It presents well in cellophane and the cellophane helps to keep it intact. The spine of the boards is a touch marked and lighter in color than the boards. Mild foxing on the edge block. There is light tanning, no inscriptions and the pages within are crisp, clean and tightly bound.. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
