Fragile but nicely illustrated collection of 11 tales from the Brothers Grimm, illustrated throughout the 55 pages with pen-and-ink sketches by 2 of the most prolific German illustrators of their time, P. [Philipp] Grot Johann & R. Andre. An unknown printing from 1937, with brightly decorative yellow paper over boards, this hardcover small quarto (8" x 10.5") is downgraded to Fair condition because the text block has completely separated from the boards, but is still internally securely held with two staples. All pages present & unmarked, though tanned, heavily around edges, commensurate with age & poor paper quality. Spine is torn, with loss of paper.
