With numerous line drawings in the text and colour plates. All present with very good tissue guards. Bound in red cloth with gilt decoration and lettering to front and spine. Edges are bumped and rubbed, with slight stains to both boards. Spine is beginning to split from top edge. internally the pages are clean and the binding is tight. 4to. Apart from the small split, this is a very good copy. 1932

Illutrated by Kay Neilsen with twelve tipped-in color plates with captioned tissue guards and multiple full page black and white drawings. Spine sunned, and fraying to top and bottom of spine, short tear to tissue guard of frontispiece, a very good copy without previous owner's marks.

Coloured frontis tipped in plate and 11 other coloured tipped in plates with captioned tissue guards; a luxurious edition and perfect gift.

Beautifully illustrated throughout by Arthur Rackham with 12 full page coloured plates, all with captioned tissue guards. Numerous in text black and white line drawings.



The book is fine with very miniscule spotting to few pages . The pictorial parts of the original binding of the front board were worked into the leather of the book cover as an inlay. The edges have been recut and the picturesque endpapers were copied to new ones. The rests of the original endpapers were bound in.
