Previous owners signature dated 1955 on front end paper otherwise contents clean. Shelf wear, small repaired splits to dust jacket, covers clean. Noted artist, ornithologist, and companion of Scott who perished with him on the return from the South Pole. Seaver was greatly influenced by Wilson and said "All that I have ever tried to picture of a modern saintliness is realised in the figure of Edward Wilson".
