PETRUS VIDOVEUS AERE JOANNIS PARVI (JEAN PETIT) 1530.[Misoginia] (cm 16) Bella piena pergamena XVIIIsec. titolo in oro al dorso, tagli spruzzati in rosso.-cc.136.Bellissimo frontis architettonico inciso in xilografia con teorie di putti e figure allegoriche, nonchè la bella marca tipografica del Jean Petit.Carattere rotondo, grandi capilettera figurati ealtri a "fond crible".PRIMA EDIZIONE separata e completa dei vari trattati; le precedenti del 1505, 1511 e 1518 fanno parte dell'opera: "hystoria de vitis pontificium" apparsa a Venezia nel 1479 (Hain-Copinger 13045).Opera celeberrima molte volte ristampata e tradotta fino al XVII sec, dedicata al Papa Sisto IV che le conferì l'incarico di bibliotecario della biblioteca Vaticana.Veramente curioso è il dialogo contro i folli dell'amore, le donne e l'amore in genere, tanto da essere uno dei primi lavori di carattere misogino.L'opera: "Paradossi contro l'amore" è citata dal Gay I 719.esemplare molto bello, fresco e nitido.-GRAESSE V 314;-BRUNET IV 692;-BM.
