Good/No dust jacket. 8vol. 386pp. Rebound in Hardcover brown buckram with gold titles on spine. .Foretitlepage, titlepage, dedication-page; lxxx page including a 38-p. 'Accented Catalogue of the Generic and Trivial Names of Plants used by Linneus Ownership signature of William Gibbons on top of foretitlepage. William Gibbons was an American lawyer and revolutionary from Georgia. He was a member of the colonial assembly 1760-62 and joined the Sons of Liberty in 1774 and in 1775 was part of the group who broke into King's ammunition storage in Savannah and removed 600 pounds of his powder. Among other associations, he was a member of the Continental Congress in 1784.
