New York: Charles Scribner's Sons. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1895. Hardcover. A uniform four volume set with a little shelf wear to the extremities and edges of spines: "Marie Antoinette and the Downfall of Royalty"; "Citizeness Bonaparte"; "Marie Louise, the Island of Elba and the Hundred Days"; and "Women of the Valois Court." Each volume has an 1895 publication date, and each volume is in the original green cloth binding with gilt spine lettering (which is a bit dull). There are frontis illustrations in each volume protected with a tissue guard. This is a clean, tight and unmarked set with the exception of a previous owner name stamp on the paste down inside the front cover and inside the rear cover in each volume. ; Famous Women of the French Court Series; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall .
