Sobre este artículo
London UK: Luxor Press, 1971 This book is not second hand, it is still in its original plastic wrapping and there are many copies available. This edition first printed in January 1964 was reprinted in January 1971. Fanny Hill was one of the most controversial publications of the 60's. Not since 'Lady Chatterley's lover' has a book aroused so much public interest and press attention. It is the story of a young country girl come to the London of two hundred years ago, and her escapades in bawdy houses and elsewhere. It was only openly published in England and the United States in the 60's, where it was proceeded against in the New York courts and aquitted. The judges said that it would never replace Little Red Riding Hood as a bedtime story. However for adults it is a bedtime story par excellence. It is a fascinating insight into the morals of the time, told with charm, and gripping the attention throughout. The text used is the same as that employed for the deluxe edition.
