First edition of the first book on th e subject in any language. Text on the early history, construction, legends, applied arts and uses of fans. Ten stunning full page chromolithograph plates, each with guard, and 39 illustrations in bla ck and white. Preliminaries including frontispiece loose. A good working copy; the beautiful chromolithograph plates are fine.. 1st Edition.. Decorated Cloth.. Good. 4to.
