New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1978. First edition. Hardcover. vg. 4to. 31p. + 40 plates (color and b&w). Brown cloth with dj. Head and tail of spine, top edge and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Shelf wear to bottom edge. Small red line top edge near spine. DJ good condition. The earliest art shown is a pen and chalk drawing from 1510 by Albrecht Altdorfer through 1975, a mixed media painting by Friedrich Hundertwasser. Very good condition.
