Publisher's bevel-edged decorated brown cloth, octavo, pp. 167 plus pp. 6 ads. Large 19th century Christmas gift notation on free front endpaper. Tissue-guarded frontispiece and other illustrations, perfect against Table of Contents. Fore-edge of the free front endpaper has a short horizontal slit at midpoint. Spine ends and board tips rubbed. Some bottom edge rubbing, as well. Foxing, heavier on the endpapers; lighter in the text. Some leaves have evidence of a shallow old tide-line in top-edge margin. GOOD condition, withal.
