Photo illustrated wraps, B&W photos to text, 8vo (8-13/16 inches tall), pp. 107, heavy orange paper DJ with title printed in black onto top panel and spine. Published in an edition of 1,000 copies, this director's copy is well used and has "DIRECTOR" printed in pencil onto top panel. Volume with annotations, actor directions and stage set-up drawings in pencil throughout, edges worn, gutter cracked at p.69/70. DJ with 4-inch piece missing from foot of spine, edge wear and light soil. "The play was not written down, it developed out of interviews, visits, and improvisations. Most of the words used were given to us by community along with their stories. We wanted to capture the fibre of what they were and this seemed the best way to do it." Paul Thompson. Later made into a successful film by Michael Ondaatje titled The Clinton Special: A Film About The Farm Show.
