[Los Angeles, CA: Farmers Market, Gilmore, 1947]. Oblong 8vo. 9 x 6.25 in. [52 pp (unpaginated).] Colour and black & white photos throughout, double-page colour centerforld pictorial map by Alex Perez. Colour-illustrated caricature softcovers of patrons in the Farmers market, wraparound cover art by Perez, designed w/ fold over flap, and mailing address slot on back cover for 4 cents postage (minor shelfwear), VG copy. First edition of this wonderfully printed post-World War II brochure on the beloved Farmers Market, and all of its amenities, including the restaurants, butcher shops, bookstores, and nearby racetrack for Midget Car and dirt track racing. Cross was best known for his commercial photography in Los Angeles, especially his architectural images.
