Sobre este artículo
Macmillan, South Melbourne, 1985. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Photographic. 1.5 kg; XXVI, 542 pages, includes chronology, and index. Illustrated with 16 pages of black-and-white photography. In original dustwrapper. Slight rubbing to the base edge of the boards, a couple of spots on the front edge of the text block, and offset tanning of the front end pages from a newspaper clipping. Grainger was one of those people who could impress a great deal of himself into the letters he wrote. These 500 odd pages are full of jokes, daily events, confessions, sexual fantasies, musical reported, linguistic speculations, racism and affection. The race talk is an interesting phenomenon, being in part that neo-scientific speculation which was so widespread in the first third of our century, but having subjective quirks energetically built in. -- "the farthest north of humanness " is a model of scholarship, at once clear and thorough. The letters are annotated in such a way that the reader picks up a whole aura of information easily." A book review by Chris Wallace-Crabbe at the time of publication. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Photographic. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: 1-2 kilos.
