Text fine and unmarked in all three volumes. Vol 1 - xvi, 179 pp; Vol 2 - 164 pp; Vol 3 - 157 pp. Extensively illustrated with hand colored plates, monochrome photos and B&W illustrations throughout. Some fading and minor rubbing to boards. An excellent and in depth work showing the clothing and fashions of the 19th century. Translated by M. Edwardes with an introduction by Grace Rhys. Printed by Ballantyne, Hanson & Co. at the Ballantyne Press, Edinburgh.
