Fasting for Spiritual Breakthrough: A Practical Guide to Nine Biblical Fasts

I has sister in the ministry that was going though a state of depression, loosing weight, not eating, looking worried , not talking just depressed for no apparent reason, we prayed and she seem to be getting worse instead of better. We went on a fast and for our sister and within 1 week time my sister was back to her self laughing, talking and getting involved with things in the church.

I believe that GOD hears our prayer but sometimes it take more on our part if we are standing in the gap and this includes sacrificing something that we like to do for someone else. I believe GOD honor our paryer when he know that we are sincere in asking him to manistest himself in the life of someone else.

This is my testimony that fasting works and we a christians should make fasting a part of our christian life. Just as Jesus fasted 40 days and 40 days we too need to fast, but not to the extreme that Jesus did, but it is something that we need to do.
