A seldom-seen work on Cretaceous fossils from Italy, written by the Italian geologist, palaeontologist and invertebrate zoologist Carlo Fabrizio Parona (1855-1939). Published as Memorie per servire alla Desscrizione della Carta geologica d'Italia, volume V, Parte prima. Includes the description and illustration of many new species of corals and molluscs (Bivalvia, Gastropoda - no ammonites), as well as a few brachiopods. Uncut. Binding broken. Edges frayed. Rear wrapper lacking. Otherwise very good.
