Worldcat cites a copy at Harvard, with a date of [1791], but based on the extensive evidence given in Nicholas Temperley's "Bound For America: Three British Composers" (2003), the slightly later date seems more likely. The verso of the final leaf prints a catalogue of Musical Publications available from Longman & Broderip. This is Jackson's Op. 3, comprising ten songs: L'Adieu / Sylvia / O'er Desert Plains / The Grove / The Inconstant / Happy Shepherd / Florella / Daphne / L'amant Fidele / The Whim. These songs were written and in some cases published by Jackson between 1778 - 1792. George K. Jackson (1745 - 1822) was a prolific British composer who migrated to America in 1796, where he was active in Philadelphia, New York and Boston. Very scarce.
