The Feather Men

Bloomsbury Publishing, 1991. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Handsome copy, clean with no marks. D/J has wear on spine ends but presentable. I worked on the feature film 'The Killer Elite' in 2010 I think or thereabouts, with the Stath, which is loosely based on the book and I was doing a bit of background reading. The film is worth a look if you like that kind of thing, not perhaps Robert De Niro's finest work and Clive Owen is his dense wooden self as always but hey ho. Jason is always worth a watch and no he doesn't try and impersonate Rafe's hooray accent although that would have been good. I would also like to hear Rafe's try at a Bermondsey barrow boys patter. Now there is a TV show there, famous people doing each others heritage accent and acting out a little scene in their respective manors; well I would find it amusing. Now where was I, worth a read and a chuckle at the silly gungho-ness of it all.
