Edinburgh & London: W. & R. Chambers Ltd. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. (1962). First Edition. Hardcover. No Date (1962). Blue boards with gilt titling/banding to the spine. In the ORIGINAL publisher's pictorial dustjacket. The spine is VERY lightly bumped head/tail and with a tiny line of 'fading/discolouration' at the top/bottom edges - all pretty negligible - o/w the covers are VG+. The dustjacket is price-clipped and has a couple of very tiny closed tears (repaired to the reverse with clear archival tape) and a very little surface edgewear to the extremities but the dustjacket is complete. The d/j is now in a clear protective cover and looks Very Good/Near Fine. It has a boxed 'No. 48' near the foot of the d/j spine. Some very light foxing spotting to the page fore-edges, mainly the top edge. Internally there is a b/w Frontispiece by D. Brook. 205 pp. Overall despite the small 'faults' mentioned above this is a Very Clean, Tight and Bright VG/NF copy. See Images ; The Chalet School Series; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
