Original red cloth with black lettering spine and small black pattern decoration front cover. The book is in good clean condition with some bumping to lower cover corners, clean, no fading, tight binding, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing. The uncommon original dust jacket is present: generally clean, tiny chipping to corner tips and spine ends, original printed price intact on flap corner. The book measures 210mm tall x 143m, and has 257 photos, 23 b/w photos, 2 maps. Scarce account of high adventure in Ecuador. 1935-37 expedition to Llanganatis Mountains in eastern Ecuador. Studies of Ssabella Indians, exploration of the Curaray River, determination of safe air route over the Andes, found lost Inca roads, searched for the famous, legendary lost mine & treasures of the Incas. ALL PHOTOS ARE OF ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
