Sobre este artículo

Berlin: Rainer Verlag, 1970. First Edition . Oversize Prints in Slipcase. Originally published in 1919 this is a beautiful reprint ediion of 8 prints by Max Ernst + the title page. The prints measure 17" x 12 1/2" and are set in a portfolio. The prints are typically surreal in his style of the period and are in black ink on beige heavy stock paper. The title pg. has light offsetting due to the portfolio and the prints are fine with just a touch of toning. due to the nature of the paper used for the portfolio which one would think the publisher would have known better than to place these prints in such a portfolio with a high acid content, but what can we do. There are a few discreet mends to the portfolio along the seams using archival tape and a small piece is missing from the top of the portfolio. The prints are all fine, the portfolio is about vg. A great item and a great way to own frameable Max Ernst prints for a very reasonable price.
