Ernest Percival Rhys (1859-1946) was a Welsh-English editor and writer of fiction, essays, poetry, and plays. While working on the Lyric Poets series for J. M. Dent & Sons, he persuaded them to begin publishing the ambitious Everyman series of affordable classics. He also founded the Rhymer's Club with W. B. Yeats, a literary group that met above Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street and was on occasion patronized by Oscar Wilde.
