Olive cloth, gilt letters on spine & front cover, gilt decoration on front cover, 465 pp., many BW & color illus. An early nature guide book, complete with detailed line drawings of leaves and crayon and painted illustrations of trees. This copy comes complete with several collected leaves, which a previous owner thoughtfully placed right at pages containing the description and/or illustration of the species.
