New York / London: The Century Co, 1929. First Edition. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Very Good +/Good +. 12mo. Pp. 435. First printing July 1929 stated. Light brown cloth, titles and rule stamped in black on the cover and between blind stamped panels on the spine: bookplate on front pastedown, binding tight and leaves crisp. In the three color illustrated dust jacket on yellow paper with price $2.00 intact on the back flap with publisher's "First Printing" medallion on the spine: spine darkened and head chips, edges rubbed. Irishman Byrne's final novel, a love story and an epic battle between Napoleon and Castlereagh. The handsome dust jacket, presenting a lion presiding over a Europe spotted with sickly red dots, is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve.

All books are packed and shipped within 24 hours of receipt of order. Every book is professionally packaged in a heavy cardboard box and shipped via US Postal Service, fully insured. Shipping rates are $3.50 per book; an additional $1 for every book thereafter. Sets and oversized volumes might require additional postage – indication of such will be noted in the book description. Those orders ship at cost. Other shipping modes are available per arrangement. Institutions will be billed per requirements.
