Book #3 in the 27-book YA series featuring 16-year-old star athlete Bronc Burnett, with "a world of how-to-play tips interwoven with the exciting yarns themselves." Providing "a stadium full of thrills,'' this series was set in Sonora, New Mexico, & offered stories about baseball, football, & scouting, at which Bronc was equally adept, for boys from 1948-1967. Orig. written in 1949, this is one of the Grosset & Dunlap hardcover picture cover editions from the late 1950s-1960s, in 180 pages. Condition is Near Fine: extremely clean, pages white & unmarked, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Very mild rubbing to both ends of spine & light spotting to outside fore edge are only flaws. No DJ, as issued (never came with one).
