This mid-nineteenth century reader contains early inclusion of Edgar Allan Poe's classics "The Raven" and "The Bells". Dark brown pebbled boards, leather spine wrap, gilt spine titles between seven ribbed bands, moderate shelf wear, rub. Light pink and blue marble patterned text block at all sides. Pages generally very good w/toning, small sticker-pull at endpapers, very old oak leave set in w/toning to these pages; no writing. Scarce near very good nineteenth century educational material from the Harper's School and Family Series.
