New York: New York University Press, 1974. Hardcover. Small 4to. Red cloth with gilt spine lettering, pictorial dust jacket. 205pp. Near fine/very good. Mild jacket edgewear. A tight and handsome second printing of this surprisingly popular study (it went through at least three printings), inscribed and signed boldly by the author in black ballpoint on half-title page: "To Joe -- / when I become famous / and the book becomes / valuable, I'll re-inscribe / it to John. / Joyce."
