The title novella in this collection is one of three stories that form the basis for the 2004 film "We Don't Live Here Anymore," directed by John Curran and starring Mark Ruffalo, Laura Dern, Naomi Watts, and Peter Kraus. Another story in the collection, "Killings," is the basis for the 2001 film "In the Bedroom," directed by Todd Field and starring Tom Wilkinson, Sissy Spacek ,and Marisa Tomei.

Fine in an about Fine dust jacket. Jacket has a small puncture tear on the front hinge fold, else an impeccable copy.
