Sobre este artículo

concerning William Harridance who had been "convicted of ware-house breaking and larceny and sentenced to imprisonment... in consideration of some circumstances humbly represented unto US, are graciously pleased to extend Our Grace and Mercy.... and to pardon and remit unto him one month of the sentence passed on him... Our Will and Pleasure therefore is that you cause the said William Harridance to be discharged out of custody accordingly...", countersigned by John SIMON (1st Viscount, 1873-1954, Statesman & Lord Chancellor), 1 side folio with stamped seal and revenue stamp, Court at St James, 21st January George V died at 11.55 p.m. at Sandringham on 20th January 1936 & Edward VIII succeeded his father as King of Great Britain. This is therefore one of the first documents he ever signed as King. George V had always insisted that the clocks at Sandringham be kept half an hour fast, with the ironical consequence that his date of death would have registered locally as the 21st. However, one of the first acts of the new King, widely criticised as grossly insensitive, was to order all the clocks to be reset to the correct time.
