Sobre este artículo
New York: Full Court Press Inc., 1975. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. A relatively scarce first soft cover edition of early 70s Ginsberg combining poetry and musical notations. Inscribed by Ginsberg and dated (April 14, 1979) by him. In publisher's pale red wrappers with only minor wear to extremities. A slight stain to the ES of BLUES on the spine. Otherwise a tightly bound copy with no reading creases. Unmarked save for the curiosity of one line on page 59 crossed out in pain, with residual ink stain on the facing page.
Reseñas
El Dec 16 2016, un lector dijo:
The book has a picture of Ginsberg and Bob Dylan at the front, sitting at the grave of Jack Kerouac. It contains sheet music notes for many of Ginsberg's songs. In this book he is stressing the links between poetry and song, and trying to reach a larger audience. In these poems, no doubt influenced by the song tradition, he takes up rhyme. The book demonstrates the poet's willingness to evolve and try new things. Buddhism is a big influence here too. When you experiment, take risks and try something new, you don't always win. These poems just are not as good as Ginsberg's first volume with City Lights in the 1950's, with such poems as "Howl" and "Supermarket in California."
