Sobre este artículo
The first publication in Russian (Harper Lee. To Kill a Mockingbird. Roman-gazeta No. 4 (304).Moscow, Khudozhestvennaya Literatura,1964,128 p.).
The first separate edition in Russian (Harper Lee. To Kill a Mockingbird. Moscow, Molodaya Gvardiya, 1964, 352 p.).
The novel "To Kill a Mockingbird", first published in 1960, was a resounding success and immediately became a bestseller. This is not surprising: Harper Lee (1926 - 1975), having learned the lessons of Mark Twain, found her own style of storytelling, which allowed her to show the world of adults through the eyes of a child, without simplifying or impoverishing it. The novel was awarded one of the most prestigious US prizes in literature — the Pulitzer Prize, and was printed in millions of copies. It was translated into dozens of languages of the world and continues to be republished to this day.
