Sobre este artículo
New York: Doubleday,, 1929. First edition, first printing. The jacket does not match McIlvaine's description, with different text printed on the flaps. It is assumed that the present jacket, including a poem by Edward Hope ("composed upon receiving a copy of P. G. Wodehouse's 'Fish Preferred'") is therefore a later variant jacket for the first edition. The British edition was published later the same year under the title Summer Lightning. Octavo. Original brown cloth, spine and front cover lettered in yellow. With supplied dust jacket. Spine gently rolled, fore edges of boards discoloured, mild offsetting to free endpapers, occasional light foxing to text. A very good copy in like dust jacket, unclipped, a little rubbing, couple of closed tears, shallow chips to fold ends, slight soiling and fading. McIlvaine A41a.
